Porthgain

from £275.00

The harbour walls at Porthgain have always fascinated me. It has the most wonderful curve, with the sand piled up behind it, left behind by the ebbing tide. The different materials that have been used over many decades to build, repair and extend the sea wall are all in evidence. The almost black stone and slate, native to the area, the red bricks form the old birckworks and the slabs of grey modern concrete all combine to make a mosiac of colours and textures that are a joy to study and paint.
