About Alice

I’ve drawn and painted for as long as I can remember. I live and work in Pembrokeshire, a county where the land meets the sea and the wind brings constantly changing weather. I hope you enjoy viewing the work as much as I’ve enjoyed making it.

My inspiration to paint comes from the traditional architecture, farmsteads, harbours and towns, the sea, coastline and mountains of this corner of Wales.  

Colour is probably the thing that informs my work the most. I constantly attempt to capture the light, the tones and feeling of a view or landscape. I am self taught and whilst my work is not necessarily representational, the intention is to make a painting that is recognisable as a particular place.
