I painted this after a lazy evening at the Boat Club in Newport. The tide was rising, lifting the boats from their moorings and the sea was like glass, reflecting the sky, sea wall and houses along the Parrog. The colours were soft blues and lilacs as the sun disappeared behind the evening clouds. a magical spot to watch the day fade into dusk.
