From time to time, I enjoy using collage. Sometimes as a base layer to work on top of, or cutting up other works to reconfigure a painting, and occasionally a mixture of both. This painting was made using paper ripped up and glued down to create a textured surface to work on. I used watercolours, gouache and pastels and pen and ink, and if you look carefully, you can see small amounts of newspaper print poking through.
