Abereiddy Full Moon
I do enjoy a moon in my paintings. I sometimes put several washes over the night sky, to make it as dark as possible, but I left this sky with it’s first coat on full display, as I liked the brushstrokes and watermarks left behind on the paper. I dropped ink into wet paint in the foreground to add depth and texture to the grassy bank. The red house on the slope has always been a favourite to draw, I particularly like it’s windows, front door and gate, all very fine and delicate in contrast to its wild location.
