The collection of cottages at Abereiddy are always absorbing to study. It’s interesting that the lower cottages have their backs to the sea and away from the sea. The different contrasts of whitewashed walls and exposed stonework are very pleasing, and I’ve always loved the huge chimneys on the small cottages, hopefully keeping the inhabitants warm through the wild winters .
