I painted this farmhouse after a short snowy day. The Pembrokeshire hills had had a fair dusting, and my eye was captured by the sight of a farm, standing out in stark contrast to the white landscape around it. I was near the small village of Brynberian and although the place doesn’t look exactly like this (I’ve changed the outbuildings a bit), I hope I’ve captured the overall effect of the stone buildings set against the quiet backdrop of a snow covered landscape.
