This was the first farm my grandfather bought in Pembrokeshire in the 1950’s. The farm is currently owned by my cousin and I have many childhood memories of staying here. Trellyfaint is Welsh for Toad Hall and is one of the oldest named farms in the north of the county. It is quite high up and overlooks Carn Ingli, just visible to the left of the house. I decided to paint it with as dark a background as I could muster, in order to emphasise the very white walls and chimney fawr of the house.
