I didn’t know that the small collection of cottages and farms that you drive through on the way down to Abereiddy, was called Portheiddy, until I checked the OS map. It was a cool but clear day and the sheep were grazing in the fields in front of the hamlet. The sea was absolutely calm, whilst the horizon between the water and sky was barely definable.
