This is a more unusual depiction of Cwm Yr Eglwys. I often try to find a different viewpoint to start from, and the inspiration for this painting was the scene from the path above Pwllgwaelod, looking back to Newport Bay. The steep sides of Dinas Head and the almost flat valley bottom create a dramatic setting for the remains of the church at the edge of the sea.
