This is a more unusual depiction of Cwm Yr Eglwys. I often try to find a different viewpoint from which to start and the inspiration for this painting was the scene from the path above Pwllgwaelod, looking back to Newport Bay. The steep sides of Dinas Head and then the almost flat valley bottom make for a dramatic setting for the remains of the church at the sea edge.
