Mwnt is an extraordinary place to have built a church, it’s pretty whitewashed walls and bell tower visible for miles around. It’s set in its own enclosure at the foot of the hill and above the beach. There is a wonderfully isolated atmosphere, with no other buildings nearby. I deliberately painted the sky in a deep crimson, to emphasise the evening sky and complement the warm colours of the hillside.
